Inviare’s online marketplace offers two major products: Peer-to-Peer lending of equipment (Inviare Fleet) and a Talent marketplace (Inviare People) including focusing on training underrepresented groups and opening doors to the transport industry. \nOver five or so years of operation we built out a significant online marketplace, worked with 100’s of prospective trainees, wireframed a programme with the Victorian government, development of our own online training materials and modules, and worked with transport companies Australia wide to support their talent needs. Whilst both my co-founder and I worked full-time in the business for periods of time, with growing families (not to mention growing mortgages!) we made the hard decision to shelve the project. Watch this space, we hope to be back in the coming years.\nAs with most early stage start-ups my Co-founder and I did most things in the business. Examples of this areas are general management, strategy development and implementation, system selection, design, and implementation, development of an online marketplace, advertising/marketing, sales and business development, financial management, recruitment and training and much more.\n" }, { "role": "Senior Project Manager", "company": "Ahpra", "endYear": "2023", "endMonth": "8", "location": "Melbourne, Victoria", "startYear": "2021", "startMonth": "8", "currentRole": false, "description": "I managed a significant project that reset the way in which costs are allocated and thus fees charged to circa 800,000 health practitioners. Being a critical project with a spend over $1 million, this was reported to the C-suite and the Board. In terms of communication and change management, the initiative required engagement with various levels of government across jurisdictions, with National Boards, Internally across almost all directorates. The project led to flow on changes including changes to the operating statement (Profit & Loss) and associated systems. My role at Ahpra also gave me experience with a number of areas and other projects as well, such as transforming the enterprise risk area and implementing an enterprise risk platform. I was able to lead the project to be delivered under budget, with happy stakeholders and the model being independently reviewed with a favourable outcome. In addition, through shrewd project leadership, the project was closed some three months ahead of schedule." }, { "role": "Strategic Projects Consultant", "company": "Swinburne University of Technology", "endYear": "2021", "endMonth": "8", "location": "Melbourne, Victoria", "startYear": "2018", "startMonth": "5", "currentRole": false, "description": "Strategic Projects\nI worked on both Strategy Development and Delivery.\nI Implemented the Deputy Vice-Chancellors' Curriculum Accelerator. This role focused on technical data and analysis for customers and prospects, as well as for the engineering team. Before too long (only about a year) I was able to move into a role known as the Area Operations Manager, looking after Michelin’s biggest B2B customers across Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. This role was responsible for the customer experience and success of those large customers and management of the contract service providers. The role had a balance of hunting and farming. During this time I also collaborated with the Engineering team on tasks such as prototype testing, collaborated on tenders, and winning new business, prospecting, and large complex contract roll-outs as well as change management. Eventually I was promoted into a national role, managing a team of Senior Account Managers responsible for customer success of those large national B2B accounts as well as hunting for new business. During this time at Michelin I was able to hone many skills such as account management, technical sales, managing complex contracts in complex organisations, safety and compliance, tendering, relationship management, winning new business, finding way to add value, providing customised, customer centric support, risk management, portfolio construction, and people leadership." }, { "role": "Project Engineer", "company": "Robotunits", "endYear": "2014", "endMonth": "5", "location": "Melbourne, Victoria", "startYear": "2012", "startMonth": "4", "currentRole": false, "description": "I managed Industrial Automation projects from pre-sales right through to delivery. Career & Personal Growth
My career goal is...
There are two parts to this answer, one is about balance between career and personal life and the other is about making the impact I want to make. The goal would be that my career can comfortably provide not just money, but also time or flexibility for my family, whilst giving me the stimulation and satisfaction I desire. Regarding the later, this probably looks like leading a business or at least function with significant room for strategic decision making, growth, and impact.
