Career Journey
Career Story
I've always been drawn to what doesn’t yet exist - to the ideas, systems, and solutions that are just out of view. I find energy in making the invisible visible, whether that’s an unmet need, a behavioural insight, or an entirely new approach. Rather than waiting for permission or invitation, I’ve often found myself building from scratch - designing the function, shaping the team, and showing how psychology and behavioural science can create value in places it hadn’t been applied before. This mindset has guided my career: from pioneering the application of behavioural sleep medicine in South Africa, to breaking new ground in corporate strategy and financial regulation, to building behavioural science capability inside large, complex organisations in Australia. It’s never been about being first for the sake of it - it’s about opening new pathways for meaningful impact and lasting change.

The team delivered over 11 behavioural change experiments that improved both customer and business outcomes in areas such as data privacy and consent, loyalty, financial hardship, customer experience, and motor insurance purchasing. I also initiated and ran a group-wide speaker series featuring global thought leaders, significantly increasing awareness and capability uplift in behavioural science. I also conducted research for the Australian Human Rights Commission to explore how organisations could better engage with diverse customers; the insights informed a public white paper launched in 2017.
