What is a talent marketplace, and how does it work?

Think of us as a dating app for professional business. You tell us what you’re looking for, with as much specificity as you can, and we help you find the perfect talent match. 

How is the platform different from traditional staffing agencies? 

First, we’re highly selective in who we represent and really sweat our vetting process. Second, we partner with our talent for the long term. We work alongside them to help build their personal brand, set them up for success for their upcoming projects, provide access to the tools they need to thrive and invest in keeping their tools sharp on an ongoing basis. It’s not just transactional - we are genuinely invested in the wellbeing and development of our talent. We provide mentoring programs, access to a community of like-minded experts and support with industry leaders to ensure our people hit the ground running.

What types of projects can I find talent for?

Anything from a day, to up to 2 years. Our talent comes from all industries and have in-demand skills that help our clients thrive.  

How do you find talent?

We have an extensive and specialised network, and as a values driven business, attract much of our talent via strong relationships. Our talent bank is built on word of mouth, industry partnerships, alliances with leading universities and through our own personal networks. The founding partners have worked in senior roles at companies like Deloitte and Microsoft and have recently studied at world-leading institutions like Melbourne University and Oxford Business School.

How do you vet talent?

We’re maniacal about talent and ensuring we have the world's best. We have two initial screeners before meeting for an interview. We require a minimum of 10 years experience at leading businesses, consultancies and institutions - or significant experience at a scaleup or startup. Here, we don’t just look for skills but attitude and characteristics. We also look for conditions that get the best out of our talent. If talent advances to an interview, we’ll drill into their area of expertise while also making sure we spend time exploring beyond the CV to discuss their career and life ambitions. We want to build strong relationships and ensure we have a talent pool ready to do great work; not just pick up a pay cheque.

How secure is the platform for sharing sensitive project information?

Maestro’s policy on data security and privacy safeguards all user information through robust encryption, secure storage, and compliance with relevant data protection regulations, ensuring transparency and user control over personal data. When working with talent, we recommend ensuring they understand and agree to your company’s policies on storing and destroying any information.

Does Maestro cater to small businesses as well as large organisations?

Yes, we partner with businesses of all shapes and sizes.

Joining Maestro

How do I sign up as a client?

It’s pretty simple. Head to the home page and select the ‘join us now’ button where you will be guided through the process. Our team will check all information and confirm details, at which time you will receive a notification to complete the final steps in your client profile section. 

Once my client profile is complete how does it work?

You will have access to the client portal which is designed to be simple and intuitive. Within the client portal you can update your profile, post projects, track projects and time sheets, view your assigned team on projects, manage billing, access knowledge resources, view blog posts and a range of features that will be continually added to make your life super easy. 

Pricing & Payments

How is pricing determined for projects?

Talent all provide standard day rates. You set your project budget and Maestro match you to talent. We can work with you on pricing and Maestro adds an industry competitive commission rate.  

Are there any upfront costs or platform fees?

No, its completely free to use the Maestro platform.

What kind of support does Maestro and the platform offer?

We provide dedicated support to our clients and have chat support available on our site.
